Lazy Weekend

OK so it may not be a truly lazy weekend, considering I'm planning on taking Anna on a 4+ mile bike ride today, but I'm not planning on going anywhere else, other than to the park with her. We have plenty of groceries, therefore no need to run to Walmart. All the bills are paid, so no need to run to Anniston. Because typically when I "run" anywhere, I wind up spending more money than I originally planned. Nope, no running anywhere this weekend, other than at the park to keep Anna out of the creek, because I'm almost certain it's going to be freezing today with the wind blowing. She'll have to settle for the swings and slides and climbers. We may even take some snacks and have a little picnic while we're there. And pray it's not too crowded. Because she is easily distracted by lots of people, especially little people that are her size. She thinks she has to run and chase them and then yells at them if they won't chase her. (more of a screeching noise and stomping her feet in place, until someone does chase her LOL)

She loves to swing in the baby swings still...she knows how to swing in the big kid swings, but much prefers the baby ones. I feel better when she swings in the baby swings, too! She has ALWAYS loved to slide, ever since I took her down the first one at 2 months old. And at 11 months she began to get braver and braver, and finally started going down the short ones by herself. Now she has mastered the big, long, and even swirly slides! She can climb straight up the stairs, like on monkey bars, without any kind of assistance, but of course I still stand right there behind her with my arms just off of her body so she doesn't notice. Oh yeah, she also climbs back up the slides. It's actually pretty funny to watch her do it, because it's like she knows exactly how to place her feet on it to keep from slipping back down. It's like a long drawn out process for her, but she never gives up. If she slips and slides back down, she gets right back up to try it again.

OK well I guess I need to end this, so I can check the weather, and if it's gonna be warm enough, she may get to play in the creek for a little bit. We'll see. Hope everyone has a great weekend, whether it's a lazy weekend or a busy one!
